Our Story
For decades, courts, programs, and families have relied on paper meeting cards as “proof” of attendance. But paper can be forged, signatures can be faked, and accountability can disappear, especially when someone is court-ordered or program-required to attend and resistant.
My Meeting Card was founded by Gary D. Hackett, who spent 20+ years working in the mental health and behavioral treatment industry across multiple rehab centers. Over time, Gary witnessed too many negative outcomes when clients stopped attending meetings such as relapse, repeated consequences, and painful turning points that often could have been prevented with stronger accountability, even death. He didn’t just see a broken process. He also managed a men's sober living home and saw firsthand the importance of meetings attendance in correlation to recovery. But overall, he saw a system that needed to be fixed.
Why this Matters?
This isn’t about punishment—it’s about protection.
When recovery requirements are treated like paperwork, people fall through the cracks. And in DUI and court-mandated cases, the risk doesn’t stop with the individual. When meeting attendance is faked and someone regains privileges without doing the work, it can put everyday families on the road at risk of another preventable tragedy.
Accountability supports recovery. And recovery supports public safety.

What We Do
My Meeting Card is a mobile app that modernizes meeting attendance verification for people required or encouraged to attend 12-step and recovery meetings. Instead of relying on paper cards, users can check in and check out through their phone, then generate a report that can be shared with the appropriate professional—whether that’s sober living staff, a counselor, a case manager, or a court-related contact.

My Meeting Card is built for the organizations that carry the responsibility of outcomes:
Sober living homes that need consistent accountability without chasing paper. Drug courts that need reliable compliance tools that support recovery and public safety. We also support outpatient programs, counselors, case managers, and families who need clarity—not guesswork.
Our mission is simple: help make recovery real.
By strengthening accountability, we help sober living homes and drug courts improve outcomes—and help reduce the cycle of relapse, repeat offenses, and preventable harm.
If you manage a sober living program or support drug court compliance, we’d love to show you how My Meeting Card works. Ask about program trial licenses and see how quickly your team can implement it.
How Verification Works ?
We built My Meeting Card to be simple for clients and reliable for organizations:
Because when proof is required, the proof should be trustworthy.
Verified Meetings Nationwide
Since our initial launch in 2025, our staff has verified over 1,300 meetings across the United States—and we continue verifying more regularly to support reliable attendance reporting.
This isn’t just technology. It’s accountability backed by real human verification.
